Fr. Paul Baky Mikhail
Fr. Paul Baky Mikhail was born in Egypt in 1975. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Cairo University in 1997. For six years, he worked with two pharmaceutical companies in Bahrain and Dubai. In December 2014, he completed a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University.
Fr. Paul is passionate about serving, enriching, supporting, and guiding families through their challenges. He focuses on assisting premarital couples as they embark on this important chapter of life. Additionally, Fr. Paul dedicates himself to serving the next generation—kids, youth, and couples—ensuring they inherit the faith, traditions, and treasures of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Fr. Paul served as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader at Saint George Coptic Orthodox Church in Heliopolis, Cairo; and continued this service during his years in Dubai. On March 6, 2005, His Grace Bishop Serapion ordained him as a presbyter at Saint Maurice Coptic Orthodox Church in Pomona, where he also served at Saint John the Baptist Church in Oxnard. In 2006, Father Paul began his service at Saint Verena and the Three Holy Youth (Coptic Center) in Orange, California.
In January 2019, His Eminence Metropolitan Anba Serapion assigned Fr. Paul to serve the new church, Saint Monica, in the Costa Mesa area. In October 2020, God blessed Saint Monica Church with a permanent building in Costa Mesa, where Fr. Paul currently serves. He requests your prayers that God may grant him the strength to begin, as St. Arsanious proclaimed, "Give me, O Lord, to start."
